Safety Study Hall: A New Resource for Schools, Families, and Students
The Washington State Department of Health has launched the Safety Study Hall website—a new, valuable resource for schools, students, and families to learn about important health and safety topics. This site provides information about substance use prevention, safe storage of prescription/over-the-counter medications, firearms, and ammunition, all of which are outlined in House Bill 1230.
The Safety Study Hall is part of a larger initiative aimed at promoting safety in our schools and communities. Schools, school districts, and educational service districts are required to take specific steps outlined in state law to ensure that these resources are accessible to their communities.
