Middle School (6-8) Athletics

The philosophy of the Mead School District is founded and based upon the principles identified in the district's foundational student learning goals. Included in this mission is the belief that human wellness and aesthetic experiences are integral parts of the educational experience. To serve that mission, the primary function of the interscholastic and intramural programs is to provide participatory opportunities for as many students as possible. These programs seek to enhance the psychological, emotional, social, and physical development of each student.

Fall: 
Cross Country, Football, Softball, Tennis
Winter: Wrestling, Volleyball, Basketball (after wrestling ends)
Spring: Baseball, Track

Participation Fee Information
Any student, who wishes to participate in one or more extra-curricular activities, will pay an annual participation fee, approved by the School Board of Directors: Middle School $35 and High School $45. The purpose of this annual fee is to allow Mead to continue our K-12 extra-curricular activities and programs. Mead students will be required to pay their fee prior to participation in sports and/or activities. The participation fee may be waived or reduced dependent upon a student’s free or reduced lunch status.
