Levy-Funded Programs & Services

Levies provide local funding that bridges the gap between what the state and federal governments pay and the actual costs of operating our schools. Levies support essential programs, staff and services, including, but not limited to, the following:

Chart includes some examples of employee categories with the approximate number of full-time employees that are funded by the state through the protoypical funding model and the approximate number of full-time employees funded by local levy dollars.

*Not all employee categories that are funded in part by levy dollars are represented in the chart below. Chart based on available data during the 2020-21 academic year.
