COVID-19 Dashboard

The following information is reflected in the table below:

NOTE: As of November 19th, the Spokane Regional Health District updated quarantine guidance based on many factors, including zero students or staff who have become infected with COVID-19 as a result of possible exposure to an infectious person at school. The new guidance is described below and will be in place moving forward from 11/19/2020.

  • Positive COVID-19 cases within the last 10 days
  • Current number of close contacts to confirmed positive cases among District staff or students that have been quarantined out of an abundance of caution
    • School in Level 1 - Close contacts are defined as those within a cohort or classroom who did not wear a mask or facial covering OR where the positive student was not wearing a mask
    • School in Level 2 - Quarantine of entire classroom
    • Bus (if applicable): students in same row, one row behind, two rows in front, same row across aisle and row across aisle at each diagonal = up to 20 if all seats are occupied (Note: if appropriate seating is not maintained, students from entire bus could be quarantined)
    • For students or staff who were quarantined as a result of being a close contact in a classroom, the option to allow the parents/guardians of these students to enroll them in a surveillance testing protocol as an alternative to quarantine will began on Monday, May 17. It is important to note that only close contacts from a classroom have the option to test as an alternative to quarantine.
  • Number of students who have selected in-person or in-person/hybrid learning models
  • When an active case is confirmed, it is added simultaneously to both the "past 14 days" column and the appropriate total cases column depending on where the exposure originated. Cases originating outside of school are confirmed cases with no known exposure in a school building as determined by contact tracers. Cases originating inside of school are confirmed cases where exposure occurred inside a school building.

The Mead School District will communicate in writing to all students within a school if there is a positive case in that school. Parents will receive communications that will be sent via email or phone call, depending on their child's proximity to a person who tested positive: (1) to those identified as a close contact of the person who tested positive OR (2) to those within the same classroom but not identified as a close contact of the person who tested positive.

Tables are best viewed on a laptop or monitor.
