Edgenuity Self-Paced Online Learning

Middle School and High School Students
 
Learn at Your Own Pace
  • Students engage in online content provided by Edgenuity at home or anywhere internet is available
  • Edgenuity is designed for students to work at their own pace through courses
    • Suggestion: follow a schedule every day to complete school work in a timely manner
  • Students can enroll in a number of courses at one time
    • Suggestion: Enroll in no more than two classes at a time to focus on fewer content areas
  • Students can access support, mentoring and course monitoring from the Mead School District
  • Students can use their own device or a Chromebook checked out by the Mead School District
 
Enrollment in Edgenuity Online Course
  • Counselors and Edgenuity teachers will enroll students in courses based on registration information
  • Students will enroll in three classes at a time with an expectation to complete the courses within nine weeks
  • Students will be enrolled in another set of courses upon completion of the first three courses with a goal of having at least six semester courses finished within the first semester to make any transitions easier for second semester.
 
Earn Credits at Home
High School
  • Access High School Course List
  • To maintain on-time graduation status, students should complete six credits per year for a total of at least 24 credits for high school
    • Suggestion: complete a semester (.5 credit) for each of six classes by the end of January to be eligible to transfer to other options for learning
  • Option: Transfer to other learning options at semester if pacing of courses and credits align with high school
 
Middle School
  • Access Middle School Course List
  • Maintain grade-level status, students should complete six credits per year
    • Suggestion: complete a semester (.5 credit) for each of six classes by the end of January to be eligible to transfer to other options for learning at second semester
  • Option: Transfer to other learning options at semester if pacing of courses and credits align with high school
