September 2016 - Brentwood & Evergreen Single Points of Entry Completed

The construction of single points of entry at Brentwood Elementary and Evergreen Elementry are complete. Both schools now have a second set of inside main entry doors, which are locked once school is in session. These new doors are visible from the main office. When parents or visitors arrive during the school day they are buzzed into the main office by office staff.

Summer 2016 - Access Control Entry Systems

Installation of new access control entry systems throughout the district was started this past spring with work continuing throughout the summer months. This new system will include an entry card similar to that used at hotels, with the addition of a personal access code.

July 26, 2016 - Northwood Sitework Update

A lot of dirt has been moved in the past six weeks on the Northwood campus. The irrigation system is in place for the new sports fields (football, softball & baseball) and paving on the new bus loop between Northwood and Farwell will begin very soon.

Remaining Bonds Sold

On July 19, 2016, the remaining $21.5 million in bonds approved by voters in February 2015 were sold. The sale of the first $48 million took place in the summer of 2015.

Environmental Award

Last spring when Northwood Middle School 7th grader Gabriel Kennedy-Gibbens learned an oak tree, estimated to be 135 years old, was going to be removed from the Northwood/Farwell campus to make room for new athletic fields, this environmentally conscious young man began exploring ways to save the tree.
