2017 Fall WIAA Scholastic Awards

Each athletic season - fall, winter & spring - school districts in Washington State submit team GPAs to the WIAA. A team GPA of 3.50-4.00 qualifies for an "Outstanding Award" and a GPA of 3.00-3.49 earns a "Distinguished Award". For the Mead SD every team competing this fall qualified for an award (18 teams from Mead High & 18 teams from Mt. Spokane). Read more . . .

4A Scholastic Cup Presentation

On October 13, during half-time, John Miller from the WIAA office was on hand to officially present Mead High School with the 2016-2017 4A Scholastic Cup. This award is based not only on athletic accomplishments but also on academic excellence.

$57,000 Cat Scramble Check Presented

The "Catmania" volleyball match & "Battle of the Bell" football game provided two opportunities for the Cat Scramble committee to present a check in the amount of $57,000 to the Mead High & Mt. Spokane Athletic Booster Clubs. Read more . . .

Results from last spring are in and Mead SD students scored exceptionally well on state tests. District composite scores are well above the state average in all four tested areas. Read more . . .

2017 AP Scholars

Congratulations to 125 Mt. Spokane and Mead High students who scored so well on last spring's Advanced Placement exams they have earned special designations from The College Board. Of particular note are three Mt. Spokane graduates - Jinna Brim, Peter Duff & Joseph Roach - who were named National AP Scholars. Read more . . .
