2017 Mead SD Robotics Competition Winners

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, the Mead School District held its 5th Annual Robotics Competition at Mt. Spokane High School where ten teams competed for top honors. The first place team (Ali Jones, Gabi Hager, Maiya Yeoman, Albert Hager & Topher Wright) is from Mt. Spokane HS and won with a time of 6:48 . . . 34 seconds faster than their closest rival. ProStart Teacher of the Year

Mt. Spokane's Joanie Pringle-Jones is the 2017 Washington State ProStart Teacher of the Year. This award was presented on February 25, 2017, at the State ProStart Sysco Invitational Competition and includes a trip to Chicago for the National ProStart Convention. Read more . . .

2017 Mead School District Bridge Building Competition

On February 11, 2017, more than 250 elementary, middle and high school students participated in our 3rd annual Bridge Building Competition. The contest was judged based on bridge efficiency (the weight the bridge can hold) divided by the weight of the bridge. Engineers from local firms helped with the judging. Read more . . .
