2019 Spokane Scholar Nominees

Congratulations to the six seniors from Mt. Spokane and six seniors from Mead High who will represent the Mead School District at the 27th Annual Spokane Scholars Awards Banquet taking place at the Spokane Convention Center on April 15, 2019, where cash scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be presented in each of the six award categories. New School Board Director

Dorcas Wylder is the unanimous selection of the Mead School District Board of Directors to represent Director District #4 replacing Ron Farley who resigned effective December 11, 2018. 6th Grade Center 2019-20 School Year

To address the need for additional elementary classroom space next year (2019-2020), while we wait for our new elementary school and new middle school to open in the fall of 2020, the Mead School District will be moving 6th graders from Brentwood, Evergreen, Farwell and Midway (schools with a current student enrollment of 600+ students) to a 6th Grade Center located at the old Northwood building. DECA State Qualifiers

Congratulations to the 96 Mead School District students (70 from Mt. Spokane & 26 from Mead High) who have qualified for State DECA taking place February 28 - March 2 in Bellevue. Qualifiers include twelve first place finishers from Mt. Spokane and eight from Mead High. Read more . . .

Principal Announcement

In the fall of 2020 the Mead School District will open a new elementary school and a new middle school. The principal for the elementary school will be Laura Duchow and the middle school principal will be Barb Pybus. Both are veteran lead administrators. Read more. . . .
