Spokane and Mead High who will represent the Mead School District at the 28th Annual Spokane Scholars Awards Banquet taking place at the Spokane Convention Center on April 20, 2020, where cash scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be presented in each of the six award categories. 2020-2021 Prairie View Kindergarten Registration

The initial enrollment Window for ALL Prairie View students eligible to enter Kindergarten in the Fall of 2020 is March 2 - March 27. Priority placement will be given to students with a sibling attending Prairie View in the 2020/21 school year. All others will be included in the April 16, 2020, Kindergarten Lottery. Read more . . .

Highly Capable Referral Window Open

The period for referring a student for K-12 Highly Capable evaluation is open from January 6 through February 28, for possible designation in the 2020-2021 school year. Anyone can refer a student for consideration. Read more . . .

Fall 2020 Boundary Change Approved

On January 13, 2020, the Mead School District Board of Directors unanimously approved revisions to Mead School District elementary and middle school boundaries. This boundary change coincides with the opening of Creekside Elementary and Highland Middle School in the Fall of 2020, and the opening of a 10th elementary school located on Five Mile Prairie in the Fall of 2021. Congratulations to the Mt. Spokane Slowpitch Softball Team on their 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP victory November 2nd in Yakima. A very impressive win for a team that is also this year's 3A Academic State Slowpitch Champion.

2019 Fall Academic State Champions

Congratulations to the Mead High (4A) and Mt. Spokane (3A) Slowpitch Softball Teams . . . both are Academic State Champions for their respective WIAA classification. The Mead High team GPA is 3.641 and the Mt. Spokane team GPA is 3.719. Read more . . .
