Across the Mead School District, library classrooms foster citizenship, creativity, and inquiry. They're not just places; they're a culture of discovery, an incubator for ideas, and a dynamic zone where students explore, create, and cultivate their reading interests.

Our libraries empower students with knowledge, foster a lifelong love for learning and reading, and cultivate critical thinking skills.

Problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and computer science skills provide the framework of the library program, which emphasizes reading advocacy, digital citizenship, internet safety, and information and media literacy.

Students have access to a wide range of tools including print, digital, and STEM materials, where they have opportunities to create projects of their own choosing and develop critical thinking skills through hands-on exploration.

Our teacher librarians also collaborate with colleagues to provide support and resources for student success.
