Mead Summer STEM Academy

The Mead School District is excited to announce the 2025 Mead Summer STEM Academy (MSSA), which will take place this July! MSSA is open to district students in Grades 2-8 (based on their current grade in Spring 2025).

Registration is now live and can be completed through the Powerschool Parent Portal (InTouch). As previewed in earlier communication, parents/guardians who do not have an active Powerschool Parent account will need to contact the main office at their child’s school to get an account set up. See "How to Register" below for step-by-step instructions.

This year's theme is "Water World"! We’ll talk about all things water; its unique molecular structure, its importance in ecology and biological systems, and NASA’s exploration for evidence of it beyond our planet. We’ll also have fun with water in various Summer STEM activities. In addition to large group STEM activities and design challenges, students will explore Robotics, Food Chemistry, Entrepreneurship, Space, Nature, Forces, The Science of Sport, Statistics Olympics, Adventures in Mathematica and Design Academy in project-based modules. It’s going to be a very fun summer. Come join us!
