Mead Summer STEM Academy

The Mead School District is excited to announce the schedule and registration for the Mead Summer STEM Academy (MSSA), which will open July 2022. This year's theme is "Exploration". Participants will learn about Historic, Current and Future Explorations, Robotics, Food Chemistry, Game Design, Digital Photography, Flight and Space, Nature, Planet Earth, and the Little Spokane River.

MSSA is scheduled for the weeks of July 11-14, 18-21, and 25-28, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A light breakfast and lunch are provided. This year's events will take place at Northwood Middle School for students currently in 2nd through 7th grade.

Grade Level: For students currently in Grades 2-7 in the Mead School District (Grade levels listed with each module below)
Time: Each module is Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Location: Northwood Middle School, 12908 N. Pittsburg, Spokane, WA 99208
Cost: $135 per module (Breakfast, Lunch and Camp T-Shirt provided)

  1. Log in to Powerschool Parent Portal here
  2. Click on Purchases and Payments on the left hand side to be transferred into InTouch Receipting.
  3. Next, click on the name of the student you want to register. 
  4. On the following page, click on ITEMS AT ALL SCHOOLS.
  5. Click "District Office" in blue twice, and then Click on STEM Camps and choose grade level for student.
  6. Click "Buy" for the desired camp for that student.
  7. Click "Checkout" at the top of the page and proceed through registration and payment information. 
    (For those who qualify, registration rates may be reduced and will be reflected at checkout. In these cases, please complete checkout/payment information section.)
