Mead Summer STEM Academy
The Mead School District is excited to announce the 2026 Mead Summer STEM Academy (MSSA), which will take place this July! MSSA is open to district students in Grades 2-8 (based on their current grade in Spring 2026).
Registration is now live and can be completed through the Powerschool Parent Portal (InTouch) via the instructions below. As previewed in earlier communication, parents/guardians who do not have an active Powerschool Parent account will need to contact the main office at their child’s school to get an account set up.
This year's theme is "The Powers of 10" to commemorate our 10th Anniversary. We’ll talk about the Micro and the Macro as we look at everything from the Atom to the Universe. In addition to large-group STEM activities and design challenges, students will explore Botany; Design Academy; Energy; Entrepreneurship; Food Chemistry; Game Shows; Monsters, Machines and Math; Nature; The Operating Room; The Science of Sound; The Science of Sport; Space; Veterinary Technician; and Video Game Academy through project-based modules.
See "How To Register" below for step-by-step instructions.
