2013 MHS Coaches of the Year
Lynn Coleman, for a 2nd year in a row, was voted as the Greater Spokane League Girls Tennis Coach of the Year. Her Panthers captured their second GSL and district championships!
John MIres has been voted the GSL Boys Track Coach of the Year! His team won their 6th consecutive GSL title, were district champions and compete in the regional track meet this Friday and Saturday @ SFCC.

Senior Presentations and student-led conferences are May 20 - 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Students who had not scheduled their Student Led Conference appointment prior to Tuesday, 5/ 14 have been assigned a date and time which will be posted at school by Thursday, May 16th.

Important Senior All-Night Information
The deadline to purchase Senior All Nighter tickets is MAY 22, 2013. Volunteers will be selling tickets during lunches on Tuesdays through May 21.

The MHS 2012 Pantera Yearbook Is a Winner!
 For the sixth consecutive year the MHS Pantera yearbook has been recognized as one of the best secondary school yearbooks from the U.S. and Canada. Our yearbook staff, lead by Carol Tadlock, does a superlative job and they deserve our thanks and recognition.
The 2013 Pantera will be distributed after school on May 31st.

Activity Bus Information
The 2012-2013 school year activity bus schedule will run for 10 consecutive days for each season as follows:
September 6 - 19, 2012 October 22 - November 2, 2012 January 2 - 15, 2013 February 7 - 22, 2013 April 8 - 19, 2013

Activity Participation Fee Information
After looking at a variety of cost saving measures, and comparing other school district participation costs, the Mead School District Board of Directors approved an annual, one-time activity fee.
Any student who wishes to participate in one or more extra-curricular activities will pay an annual participation fee.
Elementary $20; Middle School $30; High School $40
The participation fee may be waived or reduced dependent upon a student's free or reduced lunch status.

School Safety & Crisis Drills
A safe learning environment is a top priority at Mead High School. Therefore, we periodically conduct crisis drills in our building simulating real life situations. Some drills may be unannounced. If you have a question about a drill or a real life situation please phone District Office (465-6000). Information will also be posted on the Mead School District website.
