Parents
Hi, I am Coanne Graham, member of a great Lion's Den Team of parent volunteers that provide support to students, staff and school. My challenge to you, every parent, is to stay involved in your students life throughout their middle school experience, one they will not forget. Our greatest wish, as a school, is that your student is successful and well balanced. Please join our team, or at a minimun volunteer for just 2 hours a year....it will be the best spent time, I promise you. There are many opportunities.
This is my 7th year in middle school with one to go, and the ride has been the best! Please do not hesitate to call me or email me with any questions at all. Together we will and are making great things happen at Mountainside and for your student!!!
Mountainside Middle School needs you!

Parents,
when your kids move up to middle school, they may act like they don't
need you around anymore... but this is not the time to step back!
Middle school kids need you to stay involved - and a very easy way to
do that is to volunteer! Our school uses the PTOManager program, which
is a website that helps us organize and communicate with our parents.
Join
PTOManager today, to stay in the loop on all that happens at
Mountainside. If you can donate just TWO short hours, at some point
during the school year, you can pledge your help online. Sign up
online at
http://www.mountainside.ptomanager.com/ and THANKS!

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS!!!!
There are four upcoming opportunities to support your student and Mountainside Middle School:
1. We need 15 parents each of three days from about 9:45 to 10:45 on Wednesdays; May 12, May 26 and June 9th to help supervise students during a program being implemented by the dedicated staff at Mountainside. There will be a short training on this the first week of May. So, for those of you who enjoy working with students....here is your opportunity. Contact Coannt Graham at coanneandmike@hotmail.com or 954-8587 if you are interested.
2. The food drive at Mountainside will be going on April 26 through May 7th. We will need 5 volunteers on May 14th 9:30 to about 11:00 to load food and deliver to the food bank. Contact Lisa Homb in the office or at lhomb@mead.k12.wa.us.
3. Teacher appreciation week is May 3 through May 7th. We put on a luncheon for the staff as well as other things to show our appreciation to the great staff we have at Mountainside. Many of you have signed up to help....thank you. We are looking for a coordinator for this, someone to oversee that it runs smoothly.
4. Our last "quarter birthday" luncheon will be June 9th. Again, we have had tremendous response for great food for the past celebrations...thank you to all who have participated. We, need a coordinator for this event.
This has been an incredible year at Mountainside Middle!! We thank each of you for all your support for the success of your student(s) and the staff. We could not do all this without you!
Please check your calendars to see if any of these opportunities will fit.
Please contact me at the above email or phone with any questions at all.
Thank you again for considering these great opportunities,
Coanne Graham
And the PTO Lion's Den Team
- At Mountainside Middle School, we’re starting a new program called 2 Hour Power, emphasizing that any help, even two hours during the school year, makes a huge difference for schools. The research is clear – kids at schools with a broad base of involved parents perform markedly better on all kinds of key school measures.
If you can give just two hours, then – Really! We promise! - there’s no further obligation – no PTO membership, no committees – you will just be helping out for those two short hours – a small, but very important contribution. If you’d like to do more – great, but we know that’s not a fit for everyone.
Will you please take the 2 Hour Involvement Pledge? Click here to sign up!
