Mead School District Board of Directors named Dr. Thomas J. Rockefeller
as Superintendent of Mead School District on March 22, 2006.
Tom
Rockefeller has worked in education for over twenty-five years both in
the classroom and as an administrator. In addition to being
Superintendent in Pullman for six years, he taught in Ridgefield
Washington for fourteen years and served as principal, curriculum
director and director of technology in that district. He comes to Mead
with vast experience and a strong leadership style.
Dr.
Rockefeller received his undergraduate degree from the University of
Kansas, a master's degree from the University of Portland and a
doctorate in education from Portland State University. He earned his
superintendent's endorsement from Washington State University.
Tom
Rockefeller is married to Pera and they have three
children. Two are graduates of Washington State University and their
youngest son currently attends WSU.
