Quest Nominations Open Until May 20th
The Quest Highly Capable Program is currently in the nomination process for the fall 2013-2014 school year for students, currently in grades 4 and 5, who are are not currently in program. Click the link for a nomination form. Testing will begin in late May. All nomination forms need to be submitted to each elementary school's secretary no later than Monday, May 20th for permission to test your child.
All third graders in the Mead School District will be screened for eligibility during the last two weeks of May. Parents are able to opt out of this testing by returning the Quest Notification letter sent home with each child by Monday, May 20th.

In accordance with the No Child Left Behind legislation, parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's teacher(s). Such information would relate to the type of Washington State Certificate held, areas of endorsements, college major, and advanced degrees. Requests should be addressed to: Director of Human Services, Mead School District, 2323 E. Farwell Road, Mead, WA 99021.
All Mead teachers are certified through the state of Washington and meet the criteria of "highly qualified."
