Council for Learning Improvement

As directed by the Mead School District Board of Directors, The Council for Learning Improvement at Meadow Ridge has the responsibility to establish school-wide goals for improving student learning and monitor progress toward those goals throughout the school year. We are guided by the 9 Characteristics of Highly Effective Schools.  Review 9 Characteristics Resource Guide .   Goals are established based on school-wide data, including WASL scores, which can be seen at the state web site of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. An annual report to the Board of Directors is submitted each year on November 1 and published to our web site at that time.  The CLI also maintains ongoing communication with the District Learning Team, the central district committee that makes decisions regarding curriculum, instruction and student learning.

The CLI is composed of the 13 members of the Staff Council and five parent representatives. The Council meets six times during the school year.

We are continuously interested in gaining parent involvement to develop strong partnerships between home and school, as we address the factors that have a significant impact on our students and their achievement. Please feel free to contact one of the parent representatives if you would like to learn more about the work of the CLI and our learning improvement plan.
