Students at Colbert receive weekly instruction in Health and Fitness consistent with Washington State Essential Academic Learnings. Colbert also offers a variety of sports activities for boys and girls interested in after-school competition between the seven Mead elementary schools. Permission slips for all sports activities will be handed out to eligible students prior to each sport's season. The permission slip will require a parent signature and includes the requirements for participation. Boys will practice on Mondays & Wednesdays. Girls will practice on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Elementary Sports Offered Through the District
Soccer: The Mead School District offers soccer for girls and boys in fifth and sixth grades September 11- October 19. Volleyball: Volleyball is offered for boys and girls in grades five and six from October 23-December 14. Basketball: This is also a fifth and sixth grade activity. The sixth grade season is January 2-February 9. The fifth grade season runs from February 12-March 23. Softball: Softball is a sport offered only to sixth graders from April 9-May 4. Track: This sport allows fourth, fifth and sixth graders to participate. Track runs from May 7-June 1 Coaches will send game schedules home after practices begin for each sport. |
