Parent Notification -- Changes in Student Fees
At their meeting of June 28, 2010, the Mead School District Board of Directors approved an annual, one-time activity fee for students who participate in one or more extra-curricular activities (Elementary $20; Middle School $30; High School $40).
The purpose of this annual fee is to protect extra-curricular programs from elimination. Mead students will be required to pay this fee prior to participation in sports and/or activities.
Additionally, the 2010-2011 school year will see a reduction in the activity bus schedule. More specific information regarding the curtailment of this service will be published in August.

The Lisa Stiles-Gyllenhammer Club is located at 12509 N. Market, Mead 99021 in the old Mead Middle School (intersection of Market and Farwell) and serves school age youth between 6 and 18 years of age for the low cost of only $10 a year. Scholarships are available for those needing assistance. Call Chad Hammond, Club Director, at (509) 368-9175 for more information. The Club offers everything from academic assistance programs to sports, arts, recreation, music, technology and more. Best of all, the Club offers a FREE meal every day to members! School Year Hours: The Club is open Mon. – Fri. from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
