Parent Notification -- Changes in Student Fees

At their meeting of June 28, 2010, the Mead School District Board of Directors  approved an annual, one-time activity fee for students who participate in one or more extra-curricular activities (Elementary $20;  Middle School $30;  High School $40). 

The purpose of this annual fee is to protect extra-curricular programs from elimination.  Mead students will be required to pay this fee prior to participation in sports and/or activities. 

Additionally, the 2010-2011 school year will see a reduction in the activity bus schedule.  More specific information regarding the curtailment of this service will be published in August.

Welcome to our 2010-2011 School Year!

We are excited about this school year.  Our staff is busy planning and preparing for the first day of school - September 7th.  Our 1st Day Parent Assembly @ 9:30 a.m. will be held in the Music Room this year to show off some new technology as you learn about traditions, changes, and important information for our school.  Don't miss it!

K-2 Open House & New Parent Information Night -

FYI - MMS has rescheduled thier 7th Grade Orientation Night to September 2nd - 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

First Day of School - September 7, 2010

6th Grade Outdoor Ed Camp- September 8th - 10th

3rd - 6th Open House - September 16th - 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

If you know of families in our Meadow Ridge area who will have a child starting Kindergarten next fall, please let them know they can come to school and register now. They need to bring a county birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Thanks for spreading the word - you're a good neighbor!

or call 2-1-1 from anywhere in Washington and you will reach an Information and Referral Specialist to help you meet your needs. This is also a resource for holiday assistance.
